About

This is a blog for my thoughts on housing, looking at people’s experience of housing more than stuff about bricks and motar.

I am based in Washington DC and have previously lived in London so you will find that most of the posts are about the USA or the UK.

As well as blogging on housing, I also write about topics that have a relation to housing, for example, the labour market, public policy and community.

Finally, I am in the process of starting up a new charity called Dream House. It’s aimed at helping homeless people in Washington, DC grow and develop their social networks.

I was formerly a Councillor in the London Borough of Camden, where I chaired the Town Planning Committee and the Mental Health Service Users Forum. I was also Associated Director of the RSA’s Connected Communities project
